This collection contains reports, papers, publications, news clippings and correspondence relating to the beginning of Extension work in Missouri. Includes copies of USDA Annual Cooperative Extension Service reports, short histories of Smith-Lever Act, UM College of Agriculture, Land Grant Movement, county agent associations, etc. (Governor's Proclamation re: Smith-Lever Act, 1914, is in seperate envelope) "The History of the Missouri College of Agriculture" and "The Land Grant Movement", are by Frederick B. Mumford.
